South African 4 Way Champion Cameraman

The Camera Suit has many wing options. From filming tandems to 8-Way, this suit can be created to fit the exact needs of any videographer. This is a very popular suit that is used by experienced videographers such as Tony Hathaway and Scotty Burns.

Fabric Selection

All suits come with a spandex center of the back. If you wish for a slower fall-rate you can request to have this in a slower fabric such as supplex or 4-ply.

We offer four different types and sizes of wings. All wings are created with a slick nylon front for added lift and supplex on the back for support.

For more information about our different types of fabrics and how they effect fall-rate:

**All camera suits come with swoop cords to create a more rigid wing upon arm extension.

Wing Types

The A-Wing is the first wing that was created for the Camera Suit Collection. This wing extends from mid-forearm to the leg strap and fastens with a fastec clip. (Please note that the leg strap is fed through the connecting clip loop. If you cannot undo the leg strap, please see your local rigger to tack it down safely to the harness.) You can request a brass R.S.L release for $30, if you prefer it over the plastic fastec clip. This wing is created for a pullout, ripcord, or bottom of container deployment system and cannot be used with a leg strap or belly-band deployment.

The B-Wing is the second wing added to the Camera Suit Collection, upon the request for a smaller wing. The B-Wing extends from mid-forearm to the waist with no clip attachment. It is very important for the dynamic of the wing that it does not extend below the rig's lateral band.

**This wing has been used by non-camera flyers for a simple fall-rate adjustment. A layer of heavier fabric added to the inside of the forearms and legs, and replacing the spandex in the back, can also add drag to the flyer.**

The C-Wing is the third wing added to the Camera Suit Collection, and has become the more popular wing because of its ability to allow the camera-flyer to sit-fly. This wing is not sewn into the under-arm seam, but is sewn onto the front of the arm which allows for the air to be cupped under the arm, without impeding the ability to fall belly-to-earth. The wing's attachment point is at the leg strap just like the A-wing, with either the standard fastec clip or the $30 brass R.S.L. release. And again, please note that the leg strap is fed through the connecting clip loop. If you cannot undo the leg strap, please see your local rigger to tack it down safely to the harness.

**This wing is created for a pullout, ripcord, or bottom of container deployment system and cannot be used with a leg strap or belly-band deployment.

The D-Wing is the same as the A-Wing with a slight variation in that the leg strap attachment also includes a Velcro sandwich. This creates more surface area and the largest wing possible (short of a wing suit).
